Unwavering Support for Virginia's Veterans
The Virginia Auxiliary to the Veterans of Foreign Wars serves local communities in a variety of ways throughout the state. Join us in providing over a century of service to area veterans and military families.
Our Auxiliary
The VFW AUXILIARY is one of the nation’s oldest veterans’ service organizations in the world comprised of relatives of those who have served in overseas combat. We have 475,000 members representing all 50 states, the District of Columbia and several foreign-based Auxiliaries who volunteer millions of hours and dollars to support veterans, military service personnel, and their families. We are a voice for veterans on Capitol Hill, instrumental in assisting the VFW pass or block legislation that impacts veterans and their families and one of the top ten providers of volunteer hours in the VA medical system. We also provide hundreds of thousands of dollars in scholarships for our nation’s youth. With more than 4,000 Auxiliaries, there is likely one in your area working to improve the lives of America’s uncommon heroes.

For Lovers at Home
Gratitude. Respect. Duty.
The VFW Auxiliary is comprised of spouses, parents, grandparents, siblings, children and grandchildren of COMBAT VETERANS who understand the cost of war.
While our family members defend our U.S. Constitution abroad, we defend it and the rights of these warriors at home. Our members work to engender gratitude, respect and duty to community among our neighbors where we serve around the world and right here in Virginia, U.S.A.
It’s a long road home. Help is needed everywhere along the way.
